About the Event

America Recycles Day at SandBlast – This fun family event draws attention to the natural beauty of our beaches. Held on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico on Anna Maria Island, amateur teams in school and adult divisions compete in a sand sculpture competition and raise funds to support Keep Manatee Beautiful’s programs. Learn the “Tips, Tricks and Techniques” of sand sculpture at free clinics taught by master sculptors Team Sandtastic at sunset on Thursday and Friday, while the competition is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
