About the Event
The United States officially observes this day on the last Friday of April to pay tribute to the tree. Citizens are invited to attend the celebration where Keep Manatee Beautiful plants native trees at a city or county park.
Adopt-A-Highway, Road and Shore groups will clean their adopted sites in Manatee County.
Other volunteers can participate at the following locations:
Anna Maria City Hall at 10005 Gulf Dr. Historic Wares Creek at Bradenton Woman’s Club, 1705 Manatee Ave.
ï‚ŸKingfish Boat Ramp on S.R. 64 W., west of drawbridge in Holmes Beach
ï‚ŸF.I.S.H. Preserve at 11601 Cortez Road W. first-come, first-serve basis to clean the river
Old Braden River Historical Society launch from Linger Lodge and focus on the upper river– bring your canoe, kayak or power boat to clean the river. Linger Lodge will provide snacks and drinks after the cleanup.
ï‚ŸPalmetto City Hall at 10th Street West & 5th Avenue West.
NO tires, hazardous waste, household appliances or construction materials.
