Sorting your recyclable paper, plastic and glass from your regular trash is one of the first steps, but the journey toward an environmentally sustainable future doesn’t end there. The Waste Pro Recycling Center handles the vast majority of Manatee County’s recycling materials by collecting, sorting and selling more than 3,000 tons every month. The facility is a well-oiled machine that relies on conservation-minded residents who enjoy recycling, operators say. “We’re high on recycling because it’s the right thing to do,” said Bob ten Haaf, the company’s divisional vice president. “Environmentally, it’s the right thing to do, so we’re going to continue to do it.”

It's great to see the effort Manatee County is putting into recycling and sustainability! For offices looking to keep their teams refreshed while promoting eco-friendly habits, office refreshment services can be a perfect solution. Offering a variety of healthy snacks and drinks ensures that employees stay energized, while minimizing waste through reusable containers and mindful packaging options.
It’s great to see how seriously Manatee County takes recycling—3,000 tons a month is impressive! I always try to do my part, from sorting my recyclables to supporting eco-friendly local services. Even finding a laundromat near me that recycles water and uses energy-efficient machines has helped me stay mindful of my environmental impact.
